Springtime – Small Works – Small Gallery
For Mother’s and Father’s Day
Show Dates Wednesday, May 1st, 2024 – Saturday, June 22nd, 2024
Theme: Small Works –Anything that inspires you to be creative in your artistic expression. The Small Works Show is geared towards Mother’s and Father’s Day and should be priced affordably. Original 2D art, jewelry, and artisanal craftwork suitable as gifts may be submitted.
Smallest size of 2D artworks: 6″x 6″
Largest size of 2D artworks: 18”x 18″
The suggested maximum price is $200. All items in this exhibit must be for sale.
Purpose: – To offer original arts and crafts for Mother’s and Father’s Day gifts.
Submissions open online – Wednesday, March 27th. If a submission cannot be made online, you may bring the items to the center in person where you must complete the “In-Person” Waiver and inventory list. Online Entry for this show is CLOSED
ARTIST ELIGIBILITY: This Exhibition is open to Members ONLY
Entry fee – Members: $25 you can submit up to three (3) pieces of artwork. The three pieces may be any combination of 2D and/or 3D art.
IMPORTANT EXHIBITION DATES:
Entry Deadline: Tuesday, April 23rd – 11:59pm
Small Works items can be brought in during regular business hours from Wednesday, April 24 through Saturday, April 27th. Please contain items in a box or bag with an inventory sheet including your name, title of your items and their prices. Tags or stickers can be provided to attach to small 3D items.
Removal: Sunday, June 23rd, 2024 12pm – 4pm
WORK ELIGIBILITY: ● Entries must be original Photography, 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional fine art ● Photos of your artwork must be less than 2MB to upload. ● Entrants may submit up to three (3) entries. ● There is no age limit on when works were created. ● No sawtooth hangers will be accepted. All thin canvases must be framed and include hanging wires. All gallery wrapped canvases 1-1/2″-2″ must have painted and finished edges ● All 1/2″ canvases must be framed ● Accepted works need to include identification on the back, stating: Title, Artist’s Name, Medium, Size, Email Address, Cell Phone number, and Price, if for sale. ● Works submitted to any exhibit at The Cumming Arts Center should be displayed for the duration of the show – if your artwork requires early removal then a substitute must be supplied. ● In the event of a sale, The Cumming Arts Center will receive 25% commission. Please price your artwork accordingly. ● By submitting your artworks, you have given permission for the CAC to use images of your work(s) for promotional purposes only in all our social media channels and venues. ● By your submission of work(s) you agree to the Waiver and Release of Liability of Art.
