DESCRIPTION:\n\nTom Slavicek has been leather crafting since he was a Boy S
 cout\, when he earned his Leatherwork Merit Badge on his way to becoming a
 n Eagle Scout. After a 37-year career serving young people\, Tom retired 
 in 2011 and he and his wife\, Karen\, moved to Dahlonega\, GA. His enjoyme
 nt of working with leather is coming to fruition through his crafting of v
 arious styles of pouches and bags\, with the added feature of inscribed im
 ages on the front of the pouches. Tom uses a wood-burning tool to inscribe
  the images free hand directly onto the leather. The color on the bags is 
 created by adding India Inks and/or acrylic leather paints. Each pouch is 
 a unique work of art\, and no two are alike. Tom teaches at numerous venue
 s across north Georgia\, including at several craft schools: John C. Campb
 ell\, Arrowmont\, William Holland\, and others.\n\nSaturday\, June 19th 11
 am - 4 pm  Complete the project in one day\n\nor\n\nSaturday July 10th

  in Class: 3\n\nMaximum # in Class: 8\n\nBRING YOUR LUNCH\n\nAges: 13 and 
 up\n\nYou will have time to make a leather shoulder bag of your choice or 
 choose from any of the following projects: Leather belt\, wallet\, passpor
 t wallet\, journal\, phone belt pouch\, drawstring pouch\, Scottish Sporra
 n\, instrument strap\, lady’s wallet\, clutch purse\, a "Man Bag"\, and 
 more. Depending on the project you will be able to learn techniques of cut
 ting leather and stitching styles. If desired\, you can learn how to use a
  wood burning tool to inscribe a design directly on to the leather and the
 n colorize it. All leathers\, materials\, tools\, and instructions are pro
 vided\, along with templates. No artistic ability is necessary\, nor is an
 y previous leather working experience. You do not need to bring anything e
 xcept lunch (unless provided for)\, enthusiasm\, and your desire to make s
 omething beautiful!\n\nof personalized items: Leather belt\, wallet\, phon
 e pouch with braided strap\, passport wallet\, leather journal\, phone bel
 t pouch\, leather bracelets\, key fobs\, drawstring pouch\, instrument str
 ap\, lady’s wallet\, clutch purse\, and more. If you take a day long cla
 ss\, you’ll have time to make more than one project. You’ll have time 
 to make at least one project during the 2-to-3-hour class. All materials\,
