How to Draw Animals from Simple Shapes

Barbara Wild has had a passion for the needle arts, drawing and painting, all her life.
She learned to sew from her grandmother as a child and continued to sew clothes for her children and herself for many years.
Upon moving to the Atlanta area in the 1970’s, she became interested in drawing and painting and
studied under an accomplished artist who became a lifelong friend. She also found a renewed interest in
the needle arts when she joined the East Cobb Quilting Guild. She has often submitted her work to art
shows and has won numerous awards. Her home is filled with her handwork, quilts, and paintings.
As her children grew she began teaching quilting and drawing at the Steeplehouse Arts Center in Cobb
County and, after moving, studied at the Spruill Center for the Arts in Dunwoody. In recent years she has taken up
knitting as she and her husband travel with their Airstream in their retirement. Now living in Cumming, she is once again sharing her lifetime of experience in the arts with others. She begins her teaching at the Cumming Arts Center with Drawing Animals from Simple Shapes.
