 What is Amigurumi? Amigurumi is a Japanese term that refers to the beautif
 ul and artful technique of crocheting stuffed animals\, people and other 3
 D objects\n\nThis workshop is for the advanced beginner that is familiar w
 ith basic crochet stitches\; the Magic Ring\, Single Crochet stitch\, the 
 Increase stitch and Invisible Decrease stitch. Kris will teach you how to 
 crochet ‘in the round” using the Magic Ring and a series of increase a
 nd decrease stitches to create Patrick the Giraffe! Workshop will include 
 pattern\, with detailed instructions and pictures. If you are unable to fi
 nish your giraffe during the workshop\, there will be an opportunity to at
 tend a free open studio session for any additional help needed.\n\nStudent
 s who need instruction on the above stitches\, Kris has scheduled a beginn
 er crochet Amigurumi workshop (Please see class calendar).\nLevel -  Adva
 nced Beginner\nView/Print Class Information and Material List\nMaterial Li
 st\n-Worsted weight yarn – I highly recommend “I Love This Cotton” b
 rand\, which can be found at Hobby Lobby. Two colors (I used Buttercup and
  Pale Denim)\, one skein of each color.\n-Crochet Hook Size E/4- 3.5MM –
  Many types of crochet hooks to choose from and a personal choice\, I reco
 mmend a hook with a comfort grip or wood handle.\n-Stitch markers: Size Me
 dium (I recommend Clover brand markers that look like safety pins) (I will
  have stitch markers available to purchase for .25 each)\n-Embroidery Scis
 sors (I will have a few extra pairs for student use)\n-Tapestry needle (I 
 prefer the metal needles\, if using plastic make sure it has a fine tip)\n
 -Fiberfill stuffing\n-Pins

 g tool (if needed\, usually included in bag of fiberfill)\n-Black Safety E
