You’ll want to grab the Frescati when you get home with this one! Create this lovely scene from the Dolomiti while learning about my approach to color and harmony in this oil painting.

Please bring the exact brand where specified.
Gamblin Gamsol and a clean tuna can or other small container. Fresh Gamsol is the only solvent allowed in the classroom. You will not be allowed to wash your brushes in the sink, so bring waterless cleaner (Really Works Smooth, Bristle Magic) or wash your brushes when you get home.
Cadmium Yellow Pale – Winsor and Newton only
Cadmium Scarlet – Winsor and Newton Artist Oil Color only
Cerulean Blue – Utrecht Artists’ Oil Colors only – available at DickBlick.com or Blick Art Supply
Cobalt Blue – Winsor and Newton Artist Oil Color Recommended
French Ultramarine Blue Winsor and Newton or Grumbacher preferred
Thalo Blue – Graumbacher Pretested Artist Oil Color only
Prussian Green – Winsor and Newton recommended
Sap Green – Winsor and Newton only
Ultramarine Voilet – Winsor and Newton Artist Oil Color only
Viridian – Grumbacher Pretested Artist Oil Color only
-Titanium White (large tube recommended)
Palette – Masterson Palette Seal or StaWet Palette with a glass insert is recommended so you can save your paint from week to week, if you have room in your freezer to store it.
Brushes – Hog Bristle Filberts, sizes 1, 2, 4 and 6 any brand will do. Lowest cost ones are Simply Simmons white handled brushes in the Art department at Michaels.
Metal Palette Knife – any brand, shaped like a pointy trowel ½ inch at widest point, about 1.25 inches long. Blick style #40, or Painters Edge #25T item 56211at Jerry’s Artarama
Canvas – 16 x 20 recommended. If using a larger canvas, bring larger brushes
