Elizabeth Stallings creates original art infused with sensitivity. She captures the emotion of the subject, painting the connection between the artist, the work, and the audience. Elizabeth combines technical expertise with mastery of color and form, to express her artistic vision in a variety of mediums: oil, acrylic, mixed mediums, drawing, and pastel. She particularly enjoys composing art in a bold dramatic style that communicates the physicality of the paint. Elizabeth addresses natural themes and the tensions manifest between the architectural world and nature. Her award-winning work is featured in both corporate and private collections in the United States and Europe.
Elizabeth attended The Atlanta College of Art where her studies laid the ground work to develop and fine tune her unique style. In addition, she focused on color theory, classical realism, and portraiture instruction, while receiving guidance from internationally acclaimed artists. Elizabeth’s art exhibits a personal style that is a combination of realism and experimentation. The classical approach to painting and drawing, in conjunction with a strong foundation from The Atlanta College of Art, prepared Elizabeth for the challenge of working with art students on an individualized level.
Elizabeth emphasizes the individuality of art with her students. She encourages her students to recognize their artistic strengths, and focuses on a fun, instructional environment. Elizabeth’s constructive approach encourages student success and improvement.
She conducts workshops and classes for artists, provides demonstrations and lectures for local art organizations, and teaches classes that combine art with the core curriculum in local county school systems. Elizabeth’s unique ability to communicate with students makes her a sought after, enthusiastic instructor.
Elizabeth exhibits her personal artistic journey in juried shows throughout the Southeastern United States. She is an active member of the local arts community with membership in The Southeastern Pastel Society, the Atlanta Arts Center, the Artist’s Circle and The Atlanta Writer’s Club.
