I began painting in the late 1970’s soon after starting my career as an electrical engineer in Minneapolis Minnesota. I am mostly self-taught, having taken only a few evening courses. I painted in acrylics and watercolor sporadically during my 40-year professional career. In the 1990’s I began showing, and occasionally selling, some work at art association shows. I stopped painting during the 2000’s due to extensive business travel, but recently started painting in watercolor again after I retired in January of 2014. I have reconnected with drawing and painting work that I have always enjoyed. My favorite subjects include rustic landscapes, buildings and antique machinery. My interest and training in mechanical drafting has strongly influenced some of my work. I live in the greater Atlanta, Georgia area with my wife Angela.
